THE FILM IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT IS COMPLETE!!!! Yes, the final product is ready and I cant wait to share it. Im so proud of myself for being able to create this from scratch. Honestly, I never thought I was capable of making a video of this sorts and it's such a proud feeling that I have. It took weeks of course, but the journey was the best part of the whole experiment. It's still a crazy concept to me that I made this come together. Even though I'm proud of my final product, I do have to be honest and say that throughout this process I struggled with procrastination, and I realize that I have to manage my time a lot better in future scenarios because if not I wont be ready for a lot of future projects or experiments that will come my way. Besides that, I believe that the whole process was very successful and that I should be proud. Thank you all for sticking around and seeing this journey out with me. I will have the movie and CCR up soon.
Editing, Editing, Editing
Spent the last couple of days just editing this whole film opening up. I'm gonna be honest, I think it looks really good. I finally decided that for the flashback to go with a black and white filter to further show the fact that it's in the past and also that it's a very serious situation. The editing took up more time than I had previously anticipated but I managed it very well. The end result is looking very exciting and I can't wait to share it with you guys. This portion of the project also made me realize how important editing is and how it can make or break a scene in a film. I had to match perfectly the length of the voice over and the length of the film. Due to the fact that I recorded the voice over first, I had to adjust the scenes to fit with the time frame of the voice over. I think that is the more appropriate route because if the filming would've been to short or too long the voice over would not sound like as if it was scripted instead it would flow like a regular conversation. So I will put the last touches on the video and be back soon.

MAJOR CHANGE
When I began to edit portions of the video I heard some very loud background noise which I was unable to edit out. Due to this, I had to reshoot the scenes again which all went fine. However, my actress was unavailable for filming so I had to swap her with someone else. In this case a blonde latin girl. She still identified with the target audience which my previous actress identified with because she is female and a minority. Besides that, editing is almost complete with the new film and I'm only missing the flashback scene. After that I can edit that up with the voice over and the video will be complete.

Editing is a Process
Editing has finally started this week. On next weeks blogs I'll have screenshots of the editing process once it's all together or at least more advanced. Editing has not been too difficult but it has also not been easy. I have a lot of back and forth over the shoulder shots which I have to swap pretty quickly but have them stay long enough to where it's not just constant switching from shoulder to shoulder. Since I'm yet to film the flashback scene I have not had to work with the voice over segment yet. I've been carefully analyzing every over the shoulder take to make sure that the details in one of the shots matches the other identically. So far the video is flowing quite nicely even with the credits scene which wasn't the easiest to make believe it or not.
I think I've done a pretty good job about it and not much can be said about differences. I also have some medium shots and some high angles I need to incorporate in. The sound is fine for now, I will need to record the sound of someone typing on a keyboard to put over my credits scene to make it seem more realistic because my credits are being shot by my protagonist typing them on a computer. Hopefully I finish that up soon and have a better presentation for you guys next time.

Movie Title and Quick Update
I realized that I never did 2 things. 1) Send the screenshots of my final copy of the script. 2) Say the title of the movie opening. I will address both of those things in this posting. First things first, here are the screenshots of the script.
During production their were small tweaks and changes to the script by the actors on the fly but it all flowed very nicely. Hopefully there is a good blend of dialogue and visuals to be an intriguing scene. I thought thoroughly of the specific lines I would want the audience to hear and that were necessary for the audience to hear and I feel I did a good job on that. I may scrap a line here and there in the editing or re shoot something but for the most part the dialogue seems to be done since the last shot I have to do will have a voice over with it. I am very proud of the work I have created so far and can't wait to see the final copy of my project.
For the film title I went with "The Case", due to the fact that this is about our protagonist pursuing killers in a case and it turns out that the prime suspects of "the case" are his parents. Basically due to the fact that so much of the story is related to this specific case I deemed it an appropriate name for the film opening.
